Celebrating Grandma Smith's Birthday

Pappy and Grandma made the trip from Oklahoma this past weekend and we celebrated my Grandmother's Birthday. We let Jack think the birthday song and cake was for him.

He was pleased, of course :)

We're Back

I have no excuse for our recent blogging hiatus. I could say we have been out-of-town; or that we have been working crazy hours attempting to catch up from our family vacation; or that we filled up our camera's memory card in Oklahoma and we misplaced the card in the bottom of my purse for the last three weeks. I could say all of that, but I won't. Because I have no excuse. BUT, we are back...for good.

Weekend with Pappy & Grandma

Back from the basement...

The weather has been very strange around our parts this evening, so we've spent a little time in our basement with the dogs. I think they enjoyed the company, even though we didn't really want to be there. Buddy gets very nervous during thunderstorms and he really put on a show for us tonight -- heavy, heavy panting, shaking, extra slobber and a few wimpers. An Oscar-like performance.

I wanted to post a picture that fit our evening's activities, so I pulled out one from our trip to Oklahoma last week. Had to snap one of Jack watching Pappy's favorite television channel: The Weather Channel. After all, Elk City did have a lot of damage from the storms that hit as we pulled into town last Thursady, so he had a good excuse - this time :)

It was a great weekend. It all came to an end with Daddy finishing our taxes....












Pray for us this week: Mommy's maternity leave is over so she returns to work tomorrow and Daddy is spending the week at home with Jack :)
