We've enjoyed a little family favorite both mornings of the holiday weekend:
A may be for Awesome, but B is for BRAN MUFFINS :)

Memorial Day Weekend Grub
In honor of the 3-day weekend for our vets, we thought we would turn our little blog into a food extravaganza. Nana, Jack and I hit up our local farmers' market this morning and kicked Saturday night off with dinner made from some of our purchases.
Main Dish: Chicken, Spinach and Potato Hash (ala Martha Stewart)
Dessert: Chocolate Chip Cupcakes (ala Betty Crocker)

Duel Wedding Saturday and The "Name"
Wedding No. 1

Congrats, Todd and Katie! I always love the colors black and pink together and the chicken spiedini and green bean casserole (with extra french onion crunchies) was delicious! Enjoy your honeymoon at the Elms in KC :) It's a great place to start your new life as husband and wife (and we are jealous you don't have to run shivering across the pool area in the middle of winter to sit in the hot tub like we did in January of 2006!)
Wedding No. 2

Congrats, AJ and Heather! We definitely did NOT do justice in our photo booth shoot, but this pregnant lady just couldn't imagine putting on hats and boas during one of the hottest evenings so far this year. Have a great honeymoon in Mexico and enjoy every minute of your new life together!!
And, finally, we thought we would share your name, precious baby boy:

William - your mom's grandfather's name; the Smith side. Your mom calls him Pappy and friends call him Dub (which we have told him will be the name we will use when you are misbehaving :)), but we will call you Will for short.
Arlin - your mom's grandfather's name; the Severson side. Your mom called him G'pa Seve and friends use to call him Skippy. Also, just so you know, your father also likes the idea of Severson for your middle name. I'm letting your father believe it's up for discussion :)
We can't wait to meet you, Will, and cannot wait to watch you and Jack grow up together!
Happy Weekend!
