One Size Fits All?

Maybe it was the stuffed elephant we chose as an example baby, or maybe Moby Wrap is stretching the truth when they say "one size fits all" :)

Moderate Home Makeover: Stage Two

We are ready for some drywall! (and preferably before baby #2 makes his appearance, but I've learned to not wish anything with this pregnancy)

Saturday Morning at the STATE FAIR

Nana and I braved the Iowa State Fair on Saturday morning. We made it from 9 a.m until noon and I was pretty impressed! AND, we made out spending under $40 between the 2 of us (if you don't count the lattes we purchased on our way to the shuttle). Just for John Mills' sake, I'll give you the run down:

$4 two adult roundtrip passes for the shuttle from the State Capital to the Fairgrounds

$10 one adult State Fair ticket (a nice couple standing near the ticket booth gave me a free ticket they had won and was not going to use!)

$13 one breakfast sandwich, "potato oles" and two bottled waters (We kept the empty water bottles and filled up at the water fountain near the Butter Cow)

$9 two pork slider meals (new to the Fair this year!), which included sandwiches, baked beans, applesauce and all the water you can drink (in my opinion, this is the BEST food deal of the Fair!)

$4 one Salted Nut Rull (which we only ate half of and I'm pretty sure the remaining half is melting in the back of the car! Oops!)

Little Hands of the Farm was a big hit, again. Purchased the same item at the store after selling back all his produce and goods -- a banana :) And, just for the record, you will never see me in that little dress again. Nana snapped a few side profile shots of me and my 36 week body and WHOA! I guess the Fair is the best place to go when you look like a giant blue whale :)

When we asked Jack what his favorite part of the day was:

Riding the bus! Totally worth it :)

Friday at the Fountain

We enjoyed a semi-steamy Friday evening at the fountain at West Glen, listening to 17 Candle (Uncle Kyle's band) and dining at the new Gino's.
